OUR CLASSES

Session 1

Class 1. Your Quality of Life – As professionals, we are often faced with tough decisions our clients struggle over. These are questions we should ask our clients and help them answer: How does your plan protect you and serve you?

Class 2. How does your estate plan serve you while you are alive? What does it cost to stay in your home "no matter what?" This session is focused on the reasons to have an estate plan and the costs of care.

Attorney Adam L. Sherry talks about the Estate Planning 101 course and how beneficial the course is for both professionals and their clients.

Adam is an attorney specializing in estate planning and probate and trust administration. Mr. Sherry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Comparative Politics from the University of California at San Diego, and a Juris Doctor degree from UCLA School of Law.
Session 2

Class 3. Estate Planning Basics – When guiding our clients toward getting their estate plan done, there are compelling reasons. You will have the tools to offer guidance through the client process. How can you help your attorney create an effective estate plan? What does your attorney need to know?

Class 4. Advanced Estate Planning – This session will highlight concepts and possibilities beyond the four basic documents including "What's the plan if you don't have a plan?"

Session 3

Class 5. Charitable Giving and the Benefits – Here are ideas to share with your clients. This class goes well beyond tax deductions as we explore: How working with a charity can benefit the estate plan. We discuss many ways to maximize the benefit.

Class 6. Transferring the Wealth – Many clients just believe their children will know how to protect the inheritance received. In this class we explore: How do distributions to beneficiaries really work? How do you make sure that your retirement accounts don't end up in probate court?

Session 4

Class 7. Serving as Trustee – As a professional, you may be asked if you will serve in this high liability role. This will empower you to embrace this work or just say no. Questions we explore: Are you the Trustee of a trust? What are your duties & responsibilities? What is your Successor Trustee's job? What are your choices in terms of who may serve as your Successor?

Class 8. It's Your Life and Your Plan – What's next? Have fun reviewing all you have learned throughout this workshop series and get great tips on protecting your clients, you and your loved ones.
